A look at the Candidates. Who would best represent us in Congress?
Zack Mullock Affordability: Zack Mullock proposes tax relief for working and middle-class families, affordable housing investment, first-time homebuyer assistance, consumer protections and action against institutional investors buying single-family homes. Health Care: Zack Mullock supports broader Medicare drug-price negotiation, Medicare for All, expanded Medicare/Medicaid benefits and stronger mental-health services. | Jeff Van Drew Affordability: In 2022 Van Drew voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, not only did the law extend ACA premium tax credits that helped millions of Americans afford health insurance, but the law provided rebates for energy efficiency, home improvements and other clean energy investments. Health Care: Thanks to Jeff Van Drew and his fellow republicans who voted for the "One Big Beautiful Bill”, it passed the House by a razor-thin margin of 218-214. When the cuts take effect after the election, these people in New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District will be placed at risk by the funding rollbacks:

Economy & Jobs: Zack Mullock emphasizes small businesses, middle-class purchasing power, affordable housing, fair taxation and ending corporate tax advantages that do not benefit local communities. | Economy & Jobs: Van Drew voted for the Big Beautiful Bill. An analysis estimates the rollback of clean energy incentives could mean 13,000 fewer jobs in NJ by 2035, add approximately $3.4 trillion to the national debt over ten years and the bills Medicaid and SNAP reductions could result in a loss 1.22 million jobs nationally by 2029. Nearly 60% of the tax cut dollars goes to top 20% of earners and more than one third goes to the top 5%. |
Data Centers: Zack Mullock supports the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, infrastructure and environmental protections. The key focus being who pays for grid upgrades and what protections are being provided to the community. | Data Centers: Van Drew says he wants Big Tech to pay its fair share - but he continues to embrace the rapid expansion of AI and the Data Centers that come with it. Just making Data Centers pay some of their energy costs does not address providing stronger protections for residents, noise pollution, communities and the environment. |
